One of my favourite things in Anagni Duomo, this wonderfully well preserved Romanesque Throne of Mercy fresco. It’s one of the few fragments from the original frescoes that once completely covered the interior of the 11th century church.

I’m thinking of doing a version of it on some of my beautiful new watercolour paper I got from Mario last week. (I was still in the middle of the horrible haze of jet lag and was barely compos mentis, but he’s only here one day a year and I wasn’t going to miss it for anything).
