I ran across these two charts today. It's remarkable the extent to which:

  1. Economic dislocations are worldwide.

  2. The United States is far better off most other advanced economies worldwide.

  3. Americans are utterly convinced that they live in the worst economy on earth.

  4. Americans live in an information bubble and have no idea what’s going in the rest of the world.

Yet, despite this, only Americans are apparently willing to throw away their democracy because of the price of eggs, or something?

(If it’s not clear—first chart is percent increase in income since the pandemic; second is percent of income spent on food)
