Socrates’ definition of politicization therefore has nothing to do with political parties. It has to do with the movement of a quest for truth to a pursuit of persuasion. In a world where so many people are accusing people they disagree with as politicizing the topic of interest, Socrates would say anyone who has made a question of truth into a contest has politicized that quest
