You guys i have to tell you about Oskar Kokoschka, a painter who fell in love with the socialite and arts patron Alma Mahler. The relationship didn’t work out and Oskar was devastated.
So he did a very rational thing and commissioned doll maker, Hermine Moos to make a life-sized doll to replace her. Who hasn’t rebounded with a life-sized replica of our one true love, right?
Anyway, Hermine made the doll with skin of sewn together swan pelts (yes, feathers and all). And her eyes are… well see for yourself.
