I had lunch with some colleagues the other day after we finished parent teacher conferences.

4 separate times I was talking about something I find completely normal and was met with shocked stares or laughing. Each time followed by one of them - professional and highly trained educators- saying “omg HOW are you this adhd and we didn’t know” or “oh you weren’t joking about being adhd.”

And then I drank 2 cokes and fell asleep sitting up at a full, loud table in a restaurant right next to my principal.
