Pence's speech reminds me of the scene in the movie Cabaret when the German aristocrat tells Michael York's character that the aristocrats are just using the Nazis, followed by the Biergarten scene.

Well, traditional Republicans got the SCOTUS justices and lower court judges they wanted out of Trump, along with Paul Ryan's tax cuts. With no spending cuts, how Republican! All they had to pay was their honor, their party, and very possibly their country. Such a deal!

If foresight is a necessary quality for POTUS, Pence better give up now. He either lacks it, or considers it valueless. Either way, he's not qualified.
