That’s rather common, but science shows people are systematically overconfident about the quality of their health knowledge.
That phrase “I know, I just didn’t do it” actually reveals a blind spot:
Overestimated the quality of the knowledge held, and
Overlooked the actions shaped by context forces …
So, knowing a headline or some information is not the same as knowing how to apply it.
