I met someone from here in real life last week. I detest how a lot of the newcomers on here were Twitter famous at some point, and many must have built their careers off of the clout that gave them, and use Substack for valid hot takes, but one aspect I am glad to see Substack recreate is the connection with like minded people. The platform allows you to discover the depths of someone faster than any amount of alcohol could ever allow. Someone reading my entire archive would know me better than 90% of my friends.

Oh and yeah, slide into people DMs. If they ignore you don’t take it personally. It’s all rather a lot, but they may still read it and have a positive reaction even if they don’t tell you as much.
