:> "... better served by clearly indicating that Strangio is a trans-identifying female ..."

πŸ‘πŸ™‚ Got my vote. Though "transman Chase Strangio" might be a better bet as she may well qualify as sexless since I expect she's had her ovaries removed. No gonads, no sex category membership card. πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚

But particularly so since Andrew Sullivan describes her that way:

AS: "... Chase Strangio, the transman who has headed up the ACLU campaign to abolish the sex binary ...."

andrewsullivan.substack…

But you might be amused by a couple of quotes of Strangio, including one from a much earlier [2016] Slate article:

CS: "... Strangio insists that 'a penis is not a male body part. It’s just an unusual body part for a woman.' [She] also wrote [in Slate]: 'There is plainly no one type of body that we could accurately label a 'male body.' ....' ..."

Bit clueless of ol' Chase since, by standard biological definitions, "male" denotes those who "produce small reproductive cells", and "female" denotes those who "produce large reproductive cells" -- at least in the phrasing of Trump's EO on "restoring biological truth to government":

whitehouse.gov/presiden…

And since in most if not all mammals, the production of "small reproductive cells" takes place in the testicles we might then reasonably assert that "a male body" is ONLY one with those testicles still attached. Q.E.D. πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚ But why it is also reasonable to argue that transwomen who cut their nuts off are technically sexless -- no gonads, no sex category membership cards.

Though I'm a bit peeved at Sullivan since he still seems to "think" that it is possible to "change sex":

AS: "... gender-affirming care for minors, which can lead to irreversible sex changes for children. .... inadequately tested sex changes on children .... Protecting them from often irreversible sex changes ...."

nytimes.com/2025/06/26/…

I don't think he has a flaming clue what it takes to qualify as male and female. Maybe not surprising in a gay man whose horizon on the matter seems to go no further than having an orgasm:

AS: "And how can a child understand what giving up orgasms for life might mean when he hasn’t experienced a single one?"
