But I can sympathize with a lack of subscribers -- part of the problem is with Substack's "business model". Individual subscriptions are kind of pricey and I expect most people can't afford more than several at a time. Why I tend to move my subscription dollars around depending on how much bang for the buck I'm getting -- quid pro quo and all that.
Why I think Medium's model is somewhat better -- a subscription gets you access to all of the writers on the platform. Though they've kinda gone woke and pro-trans in deplatforming people like Kathleen Stock and Holly Lawford-Smith:
