The app for independent voices

No, not everyone should be using Claude Code.

A simple, powerful solution to automate your work: Claude Desktop.

No terminal. How?

Simply add connectors and MCPs such as Desktop Commander to Claude Desktop. This lets your agent work with local files, execute commands, and interact with any app.

Below, I demonstrate:

  • Find all .mp4 files and summarize them in a spreadsheet

  • Open Chrome as Pawel and navigate to productcompass.pm - full impersonation 🤯

Of course, you can also ask for standard things, such as creating user stories based on Figma.

The only real difference is:

Claude Code:

  • Terminal interface

  • Starts in your current directory

  • Workflow optimized for coding

  • You can use pay-as-you-go

Claude Desktop:

  • GUI interface

  • Same work automation capabilities

  • Better for visual work, artifacts, documents

Want to code with AI, prefer the terminal, and want to automate many tasks, too?

Great. Claude Code might be for you.

But PMs automating their work can use Claude Desktop with the right MCPs. It gives you the same power plus a friendly interface.

Standard connectors:

  • Amplitude,

  • Atlassian,

  • Canva,

  • Figma,

  • Gmail,

  • HubSpot,

  • Linear,

  • monday[.]com,

  • Notion,

  • Stripe,

  • Zapier,

  • Etc.

Helpful non-obvious connectors:

  • Windows-MCP: clicking, dragging, scrolling, executing scripts.

  • Desktop Commander: manipulating files, running processes. My favorite.

  • Playwright: browser control, if you are okay with a new user profile.

  • Playwright MCP called via Desktop Commander: to load an existing user profile. Ask Claude to save it in memory, to reuse this pattern the future.

  • Gmail-MCP-Server: for sending emails: github[.]com/GongRzhe/Gmail-MCP-Server

  • Control your Mac: execute AppleScript on macOS.

  • Control Chrome: for macOS users.

  • Read and Send iMessages: for macOS users.

Hope that helps.

Curious: What would you automate?
