Anthropic just shipped Dispatch.
To say I loved it is to say nothing.
And my Claude hype has been doubling every day for a week now π
Dispatch is a new command center inside Cowork. Not a chatbot on your phone. A walkie-talkie:
Send instructions from mobile
Claude orchestrates real work on your desktop
One persistent thread, multiple parallel tasks
And it changes the game for product managers. Think:
Dispatch a competitive analysis during launch
Sprint planning in 30 min β pull Notion items
Summarize unread Slack DMs + draft responses
β
The gotcha nobody is talking about: the Telephone Game.
The Dispatch orchestrator doesn't read your CLAUDE[.]md.
You β Orchestrator (no context) β Sub-task (reads CLAUDE[.]md) β Output
Sub-tasks read it β but the orchestrator already framed the prompt with assumptions. By then, context is imprecise.
But this is still research preview. They will fix that in days or hours.
Fix right now: Remind Dispatch to read CLAUDE[.]md first.
β
Other things I learned after several hours of testing:
Pre-configure connectors on desktop first
The "Keep awake" must be onΒ
No file picker on mobile β describe the folder path
Can't attach files yet β workaround: email to yourself
I made this infographic from my phone. Claude built it on my desktop while I was on the couch.
