The browser was our interface to data and commerce.
Agents are becoming the next one.
I've been using Claude in Chrome for months. Recently Chrome MCP too — research, scraping, content workflows.
dev-browser CLI is different. The agent doesn't see the page. It writes code to control it — faster, better for automation.
But all three still assume a browser. A page. A DOM.

Meanwhile:
llms.txt lets sites serve agent-readable content directly
Cloudflare turned any website into an MCP endpoint
Google shipped Universal Commerce Protocol — agents can browse catalogs, build carts, check out. Shopify, Walmart, Visa are already in.
Stripe launched Machine Payments Protocol — agents transact through merchant infrastructure
Coinbase shipped agentic wallets with 50M+ transactions
dev-browser is a bridge. But the destination has no browser at all.
