James, I chuckled when I saw this because you handed me your phone in Vail last summer to film you and Catherine Hurlin in Spring Waters. I imagine having those videos is especially helpful at the Vail Dance Festival with fewer mirrors than usual.

I’ll consider that my unofficial audition… would be much more fun to compare notes with a fellow podcast host on my show Bendy Bodies sometime, especially on how dancers manage their bodies, injuries, and hypermobility.🌟🎙️🕺🏻

The best part about what we do is finally having an audience. We kill our bodies in the studios and then in dress rehearsals onstage — all without an audience. We run the ballets over and over and over again, nitpicking, and hyperfixating. We film ourselves on our phones and pore over the videos. That looks disgusting. Oof, I’m so turned in. I can improve that section there. Oh, that actually looks pretty good!
