This is probably only of interest to people who have Substack newsletters or who are thinking of starting one, but the fees are quite a bit higher than I realised. I thought it was 10% to Substack and 2.9% to Stripe = 12.9%. But Stripe also takes a cut on a) Recurring payments b) International cards. So the total cut from a subscriber’s payment can be over 18%. I think this should probably be better known!
