I’ve seen a lot of people criticize influencers for popularizing overconsumption, but I have a slightly different angle. The role of the influencer is to provide you with options and exposure. You don’t have to buy every product you see trending (and u shouldn’t), they exist so that when you’re interested in shopping you can see the options in action and so that you know what is available. If social media negatively impacts your shopping patterns then consider the role you allow media to play in your decision making processes
