and honestly? i think humans are more like this than we admit. your gut makes decisions before your brain catches up. your hands remember piano keys your conscious mind forgot. your chest tightens around people before you've formed a single thought about them.

we keep looking for the self in the head. but the self might be a network, not a headquarters.
