There's this assumption that comes into my head any time I enter Substack:
I just believe that everyone is spiritually mature or knows what they're talking about. I assume everyone has sense and are smart.
I don't deny the fact that we're smart here in Substack. But I can tell you that it's not everyone’s note or post that you should read, or at least absorb.
I’ve read many articles on here. Many were good articles that helped me. But I genuinely believe I’ve spent a lot of time reading other articles that didn't benefit me at all.
See we all can be very good writers. But Substack is still filled up of people. And people are flawed, corrupted, etc.
The same way we say not to listen to everyone’s advice because it can confuse you and sometimes get you to a worser place than you were previously. I would say the same about Substack.
Not everybody's article deserves a reading FROM YOU. Not every advice someone gives is good for you. Not every one who actually writes on here (even if they write about God) actually knows God.
The same way you can discern the spirit of a man by his speech. That's the same way you can discern the spirit of a man by his writings.
This space is also filled up of unbelievers, lukewarm Christians, people who don't take God seriously and true believers.
You must not read everything that pops up in your face. Sometimes discern before you dive deep and start taking advice from one who might look anointed, yet has been rejected by God. Beware My people.🤍
