The mortality rate of H5N1 influenza in cats ranges from 50-100%.

Cats, like birds, have high levels of the specific receptor this flu strain attaches to: α2,3-linked (SAα2,3) sialic acid receptor.

The biggest source of H5N1 in cats? Raw pet food. Raw poultry can contain live H5N1 virus that can infect cats through ingestion.

If a cat is exposed to the virus, they can become infected, develop illness, and die within DAYS.

Symptoms: lethargy, fever, respiratory distress, & gastrointestinal symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea.

It also often presents with neurological symptoms like seizures, tremors, and ataxia (loss of muscle control).

Incubation period ranges from 2-4 days after exposure and death can occur in less than a week.

Claims from raw food companies that their “methods” inactivate flu virus are FALSE.

Heating, meaning pasteurization or cooking — are the only appropriate methods to inactivate H5N1.

High pressure processing (HPP), freezing, and freeze drying do not.

Raw pet food has NO health benefits for your pets.

Separate from H5N1 risks, it can be contaminated with a myriad of other disease-causing pathogens.

Raw pet foods are frequently nutrient-deficient, and raw food companies do not have appropriate quality control.

Domestic pets aren’t “wild animals” — and their ancestors—those wild animals? Die prematurely because they get pathogens.

Pets are dying because of wellness disinformation.

Stop listening to people who don’t understand topics they talk about.

You are endangering people and animals.
