This is false.

They are hospitalized because they have:

• respiratory distress or failure

• pneumonia

• dangerously high fever

• encephalitis

• severe dehydration from vomiting & diarrhea

Guess what? These are symptoms of measles. Measles is a serious illness.

This is preventable through vaccination.
