I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period
I don't think it is a question of male or female. Instead, we must look more closely at the bias that exists among both sexes. There are both Republicans and Democrats who have been corrupted. NO One is immune from the desire for money and power. We must look to the religions of the world that will speak truth to power. But it costs! The Episcopal Bishop of Washington spoke truth to power. We must see our faith and our own courage as the only way to speak truth to power.
Nope, I’m not looking to the religions of the world for help!! Organized religion is the bane of human existence. Right now religious extremism is & has been corrupting our govt. Are there good individuals of faith among us? Yes, there are, but they are in short supply right now. I want religion to get out of my govt & out of my doctor’s office & hospitals.
Well said, P.J.! The very origins of misogyny are in the abrahamic religions. A few strides have been made, but women are still considered subservient to men in most (if not all) religions.
