I just read the new Executive Order titled “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets,”1 signed on July 24, 2025, which targets those who are unhoused. As someone who has worked on the frontlines with the unhoused community and advocated for over a decade, it is heartbreaking to read — and here’s why:
