If you sit with Uncle Ralph for a moment he will guide you through his collection of plates and signs that he has been given over the years. “I am poor, black and famous” says Uncle Ralph proudly. And that he is. Everyone on Harbour Island knows Uncle Ralph and his corner.

There is little rhyme or reason to all his signs but collectively they tell a story. It feels a little similar to what I am doing here on Substack. Storytelling from the past and the present, with a dash of island life, history, people, and places, along with podcasts, previews, and perhaps even publishing pages of books to come.
