Behind the impulse to pass on knowledge, there's often something unspoken. A need for recognition—not of superiority, but of what one has gone through. The need for the person closest to them to see that something has changed.

That this work was real. That it matters. And because this need is difficult to articulate directly, it shifts. It becomes transmission. Sharing of tools. An attempt to draw the other person into a process that is, fundamentally, their own.

The goal isn't to convert. The goal is to be connected to. These are two very different things.
