Puerto Vallarta is one heckuva resilient city. I can't imagine another place bouncing back and on its feet again so quickly after what happened.

I worry about the local economy now, though, and the impact this will have on jobs and the people here who rely on the revenue from tourism.

Yeah, the tourist industry sucks. I know, since we live near Lake Tahoe and see the ugly side of it all the time.

But if that's what your local economy is built on, you have to make peace with it (or reinvent your economy).

It's gong to be financially tough here for the citizens for quite some time. 😕
