Allah is is Lateef (Subtle) and Khabeer (All-Aware)
This is one of the wise advices that Luqman gave to his son. It’s a truth that Allah chose to communicate to us through his words.
“My dear son, even if it were the weight of a mustard seed and it were hidden in a rock or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and All-Aware.” (Surah Luqman, 31:16)
This verse captures one of the most profound truths about Allah’s knowledge and justice that nothing escapes Him. Not a deed, not a thought, not even something as small as a mustard seed hidden deep within a rock or scattered across the heavens. Amazingly, the verse uses imagery of depth and distance to awaken awe: what seems unreachable to us is still within His reach.
It's a great reminder that every act, whether seen or unseen, has meaning in the sight of Allah. Our smallest intentions, the quiet good we do without recognition, the patience we show when no one notices, and so much more … all are known and remembered by the One who is Lateef (Subtle) and Khabeer (All-Aware). This awareness should not make us fearful, but conscious of Allah’s power. It invites us to live with sincerity, knowing that what is hidden from the world is never hidden from Allah, and that His gentleness accompanies His perfect knowledge.
