How relevant is this verse today—

“For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers…”

We’re not lacking podcasters, YouTubers, or Instagram theologians.

But I believe we are lacking true relationships—people who know us, who hold us accountable, who will text us when we haven’t been coming to church, who know our trials, who pray over us, and who encourage us.

While many online theologians have been an absolute gift to the body, may we prioritize rising up more spiritual fathers and mothers in the local body, and strive to become one ourselves.
