We have a problem on the right & Christianity with Culture and the Arts.
It can’t be real, and everything has to be a façade, or old.
I don’t mind Kid Rock. Would I prefer Hollyn, Alex Warren, or Tyler Hubbard to frontline our Half Time Show? Yes. Maybe Ravyn Lenae for some nice RnB.
If it’s true that Gene Simmons is becoming a believer, would I support him? Of course. I don’t care if Sir Paul is a catholic. They’re both excellent musicians and a step backwards from the precipice.
I don’t want perfection in my art. Because perfection is impossible and leads to failure.
I will take what I can get, support even baby steps in the right direction and throw my weight behind indie artists fighting for the culture. Even if it means I have strange allies.
And yes, I will maintain that the song Juno is an example of good pro-life, pro-hope, and pro-family pop. On the basis of inspiration, mythology, and background. And I can say that while believing celibacy before marriage is correct.
And don’t get me started on why we can’t make a good TTRPG. Even 40K sort of fell into our lap accidentally when the atheists decided they did, in fact, like the idea of good and evil.
