We found out over the weekend that our very housing is in jeopardy due to larger tragedy. My stress levels are maxed all the way out. I quit smoking years ago but a pack and a lighter is looking real fucking good right now.

[We have been renting a house that is big enough for our large family because we weren’t sure if we wanted to commit to buying such a big place back when we moved in. The landlord has been awesome and it’s been very pleasant renting from her. She is young, in her thirties, as was her husband when he tragically died in a car accident last week. She is grief stricken and her immediate reaction was to want to divest of her non-primary properties. We are scraping every single thing we have together in this moment to attempt to buy this house so our family doesn’t have to move. This comes after I lost my health insurance due to the expiration of ACA credits and my health spiraled, and then my elderly disabled mom who lives with us had her Social Security slashed. My husband is pulling every conceivable thing he can think of to keep the restaurant he works for open in a rocky local economy- several restaurants have already closed.]
