Kimi is clearly pushing a global expansion narrative. But two Chinese-language articles—one with fewer than 500 reads—won’t move that story forward. The real signal is elsewhere: even in a very Kimi-friendly piece, Kimi explicitly draws a line away from Manus’ China-shedding template. The first piece differentiates how Kimi is different and choosing a broader path—Agent subscriptions, APIs, open models, and developer ecosystems in parallel. Kimi is deliberately resisting that framing that Manus' way is the only way to go.
