I'm building a kindness tree today. If you are so moved, please share an act of kindness you've experienced in 2024. Here's mine. On the way to Maine to move my daughter into the University of Maine, a deer hit my car. 🦌It was out in the middle of nowhere--there's quite a bit of that in Maine. Anyway, I had it towed to Darling Nissan in Bangor, Maine as my vehicle was undriveable. Unfortunately, the dealership did not do bodywork. So, I was going to have to find either a local place or have my car towed back to Massachusetts. And did I mention it was Labor Day weekend? When I told the service manager I would have to leave it over the weekend and maybe longer he said that was no problem. I was stunned. Dealerships don't have a lot of extra parking. When I called on Tuesday and said it might be a day or two more, he said "no problem".Now, this might not seem like such a big deal, but it brought me some peace of mind that my vehicle was safe. And the service manager was incredibly reassuring that it was no big deal.Eventually, my car was towed back to Mass.and repaired. At the time, I thought it was going to be a total and had that thought going on about getting a new car.. The kindness of this total stranger brought a sense of calm that was and still appreciated to this day. What's your story?
