Life doesn’t always follow the roadmap.

My husband has this adorable (and slightly hilarious) habit of creating recurring calendar events for all the biggest moments in our lives. They repeat yearly - like built-in reminders of how far we’ve come.

This one popped up today:

📅 “The day we found out we were having three kids instead of two.”

Every time it surfaces, I laugh. And then I remember that moment - the chaos, the disbelief, the instant rewiring of our mental model of the future.

If there’s one thing parenting (and honestly, product building in the age of AI) has taught me, it’s that adaptability is everything. You make the best plans you can… and then reality hands you three kids instead of two.

Learning to roll with it - to course-adjust, stay curious, and find joy in the surprises - has been one of the most valuable skills I’ve ever built.

Because sometimes the best moments (and the best products) come from the things we didn’t initially see coming.
