The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2025, which was passed four days ago, has quietly reallocated $190.5 million back to Microsoft’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS).
The troubled $22.3 billion ceiling augmented reality goggles contract with the U.S. Army, which Microsoft has partnered with Anduril on, was noted to have been cut by $200.5 million in August. The version of the NDAA passed four days ago undoes $190.5 million of this $200.5 million cut.
Funding for Anduril’s Roadrunner-M counterdrone system was also cut by $4.5 million.
