By the stroke of a pen, the Trump Administration has just undone more than 40 yrs of US oil sanctions on Iran!

The sanctions waiver comes less than week after the State Department notified Congress that Iranian oil revenue was the main source of funding for its armed forces and terror networks.

Furthermore, the deconfliction mechanism in Lebanon gives Iran an unprecedented direct say in internal Lebanese matters since the Syrian Army retreated in 2005 after the Cedar Revolution. This move by Trump even prompted a rebuke by prominent Lebanese Christian leader Samir Geagea.

Thankfully, Syrian president al-Shara’a has rejected Trump’s insane idea that Syrian forces would desarm Hezbollah instead of Israel.
