Today is my birthday. I’m 36.

When my stepdad was this age, he was sitting in a cell for a violent felony.

I actually learned how to drive on the way to visitation.

But today? I’m feeling reflective.

My wife and children don’t live in fear.

I’ll be 4 years sober tomorrow.

We are chain breakers.

To me, success isn't found in the corporate world.

Looking at my family’s peace, I know we’ve already made it.
