Hi Substack! I’m an indie author building a universe of woeful, perpetually sighing women navigating strange, dark, and absurd worlds. I’m having trouble getting people to “get” what I’m doing because I’m a bubbly looking Black woman.

Every pitch goes unanswered. People expect cozy romance from me and instead get a dark subverted fairy tale or an absurdist corporate romp. But I’m determined to make a way for myself.
