Make money doing the work you believe in

Day 4 of our camper van escapades started with a beautiful, serene sunrise in Gistel, Belgium. Is there any day on this trip where we won’t be awake at 5am?!

Evie of course wanted to be out and about. She’s definitely up for an early walk and has started sitting and starring at me to make sure I get the point! Then she turns happy circles as soon as her lead comes out… Afterwards she's back to bed and out for the count - unlike her human who is now wide awake!

After watching all the Germans out in their underwear each morning, it was my turn to walk the dog in my nighty. Luckily it could easily be mistaken for a summer dress. And yes, I’m definitely deluding myself! 🤣

When we were out she dragged me off to investigate a set of new houses beside the van site - each different and a bit special. (Check out the picture.) One person definitely wants a little privacy!

Then it was off to Calais, check-in Evie, and then us, for the train, and the magic of popping out of the tunnel in an entirely new country. Abracadabra. 🎩 🪄

After yet more driving we're finally at Mums. Some 1450km travelled since we left home on Friday lunchtime.

And we're melting. 33C on arrival, and again today. I’ve been living in DK for 23 years and I don’t think I’ve ever been in the UK when it has been this stupidly hot. Anyone else remember those summers of 1976 and 1977? Long, dry, and very hot. Paddling pools were mandatory garden furniture. But apparently the max temperature was 30C and that was summer, not May!

OK, Kim says I have to stop bitching about the heat now - I may have been doing that more than a little bit. Roll on 18C and rain next week. 😉
