Sometimes I fantasize about disappearing.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.

Writing poems in the margins of a notebook no one reads.

Not as a failure.

But as a kind of freedom.

Be bored more often.

Go for long walks. Meditate. Journal your thoughts. Read new books. Spend time alone without devices. You would get to understand yourself a lot much better. Your brain gets the best ideas when it is left to wander.

In those quiet moments, you'll uncover clarity and inspiration that can't be found in constant stimulation.

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, renowned journalist Scott Pelley just highlighted how Donald Trump is working to stifle free speech in America, and how he plans on fighting back. This is huge.

New home for Hope Center. How we really feel about roundabouts. It's time for The Memorial Tournament. And it was a picture perfect Memorial Day in 43040!

Best mental reset I’ve learned:

If your mind is loud — Write.

If your mind is empty — Read.

If your mind is racing — Walk.

If your mind is tired — Sleep.

If your mind is sharp — Build.

Most problems are just mismatched energy. Get the inputs right, the rest follows.

The City Administrator of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Stephanie Hirsch, breezed in last year and unilaterally ordered up some Congolese for her city. She expressed a vague sense of hurt feelings at the local reception of her decree ("Not great, Stephanie!"). Her father was a friend of mine . . . where did he go wrong in raising this clod of a daughter?

Eau Claire and other cities are also knocking together ugly, medium-density blocks of housing in empty store lots and such. They're all over the lands…

Yes, why not? More clients for the Welfare department, voters for the machine. And they will fold right into Black American welfare/criminal culture in short order.

To their credit, the Somalis in my county do not lower themselves to acting like the nearby Twin Cities' black underpass. They have their own ways. They really have not assimilated at all in 30 years here.

Nor have they learned to drive in a straight line. I figured it was from growing up where they did, without rectilinear stuff, but 3 decades later, it seems to be a trait that breeds true. Hmmm.

Interesting thought: Maybe Black African Muslims (not just Somalis) will assimilate Black America, not the other way around. Much worse for us of course.
