Occasionally, South Korean media will tout something I wrote about, if it’s a big enough deal. In the past, they would blur my name out to make it seem like a “real” American wrote it, instead of someone who had an obviously Korean name and therefore wasn’t as prestigious as a white person writing about Korean culture. (Don’t get me started…)

But, look. A Korean news station reported on the fact that a K-pop group (TWS) was featured in Rolling Stone’s Future 25 issue. And look, they left my name visible. Maybe The Times They Are A-Changin’ after all?
