The app for independent voices

I see too many product leaders walk into meetings with a CFO carrying a feature roadmap. It is a mistake. Your CFO does not care about new buttons, flows, or dashboards. They care about CAC Payback and gross margin.

If you cannot show how your roadmap moves those metrics, you will lose them. CAC Payback measures how long it takes to recover the cost of acquiring a customer. Gross margin determines how much of every dollar drops into profit. Together they define efficiency, valuation, and investor confidence.

When you explain how self-serve funnels lower CAC or how differentiated features raise ASP and margin, you are speaking the CFO’s language. That is when your roadmap stops looking like a cost center and starts looking like a growth strategy.
