I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

It’s about damn time. AOC is a hero. She’s one of the best out there, fighting daily against Trump’s fascist bullshit.

I refuse to be the kind of person who loses their mind over a delayed train or lets a spilled coffee set the tone for the whole day.

I want to be the one who stays composed, who sees the good even when things don’t go as planned. The kind of person who breathes through the little chaos and still finds beauty in how the day unfolds.

I want to be soft. I want to be steady.

It’s great to hear the words of Steve Bannon. It’s striking how a government can kill a voice by jailing a journalist or media person, not unlike the death of a close relative that yesterday you sat with in the morning, had coffee with, and spoke. It reminds me of a person I listened to every day that was also silenced, but not by Merrick Garland and Biden/Harris but by death, Lou Dobbs. It’s ironic that Lou was once silenced by Fox as well. We know this tyrannical authoritarianism is nothing n…

Good to see you James, I was starting to wonder. (It's the mother in me)

Thanks DD for thinking of me. I’ve been playing catch up at work, trying to keep up with the rising prices of everything. Sometimes I get frustrated when I put what I think is a good thoughtful post and everyone around me gets liked except for my post. Not sure if it’s me over analyzing things but it’s constant. Yesterday I deleted my post for this very reason. I guess I shouldn’t take anything personally but I put a lot of personal thought and feeling into what I write usually, so sometimes it…

James, you are a treasure. I love your posts. Some, like myself, are unable to like others' posts. That was not always the case. It started about 6-months ago. It apparently has something to do with the push to upgrade something. Someone was kind enough to explain it to me in another comment, but I do not remember exactly what it is. When I use another laptop, (a mac), I do not have that problem.

Thank you Debra and so are you!!! It’s funny how the mind works, I’ve always been a competitive person, even when I drive. I consider ideas competitive as well, I guess that’s what drives me to write something interesting, something that connects. There are much, much smarter more eloquent people than me here on this sub stack, that’s for sure, but I think all of our different backgrounds, up bringings, and professions are what make this platform so great. I remember my comment on the veterans walking through Boston’s Logan Airport and the illegals all got up and gave them the finger, which pissed me off, but I said they should all be sent back to their sh-t hole countries, well that stirred up quite a response, which made me think twice about what I said. If I write that post again I may have worded it a little differently, so you learn, and isn’t that the wonderful thing about this forum. This is what intrigues me so much about being here. I learn from you and you see the perspective of a struggling man, human being, like myself.
