Calling my writing “content” is fine. It’s humble. It’s like “stuff.” If you don’t know exactly what you’re referring to, call it stuff. Call it content.

But, saying Mark Twain wrote content is like saying Notre Dame is filled with stuff.

Maybe I don’t write “content.” Maybe I write “art.” But I doubt it. And it’s not up to me to decide.
