Recently I told my partner Ty that when I’m doing fascial work on someone, and I’m holding steady with my hands unmoving and firm on the body, all I’m doing is waiting.
He asked me what it is that I’m waiting for, and I told him, “I’m waiting for the tissue to tell me where it wants to go.”
He asked me how it is that I receive my information — audibly, visually, kinesthetically? I told him that it’s not that kind of knowing. I had a nearly impossible time explaining myself, but what I eventually got to was this: it’s a gnosis. An awareness welling up and out and through me as I find myself suddenly being moved.
And then next, as I find myself with the complete understanding that there’s no other way it could be than this. Of course this direction. Of course this pressure. Of course this technique. Of course.
Because it’s True.
And all I did was wait for the Truth to come through.
