Beyond novel writing, I actively search for ways to live a more creative life because I believe it makes me a better, happier human being.

To that end, I recently joined the jazz choir at my local community college because I missed singing and am looking for more IRL activities and places to find community.

It has not disappointed! We have our first concert this weekend and had tech rehearsals last night. Close to 100 voices when all the choirs were combined, plus a student mariachi band.

Every age, ethnicity, sexual orientation represented and all of singing and laughing in harmony.

Just what the doctor ordered to combat the toxic swill of negativity being shoved down our throats via social media and the news!

Wish me luck on getting all my words (over half of them in spanish) right and hitting all the notes perfectly on key! <3
