You were fine. Completely fine. Then a song came on. Or you saw a photo. Or nothing happened at all. And now you're sad. Deeply, inexplicably sad. It arrived without warning and you can't trace it back to a cause.

ADHD brains don't always process emotions in real time. Sometimes the feeling arrives hours or days after the trigger. Sometimes the trigger was so small your conscious mind didn't register it but your emotional brain did. You're not moody. Your processing is delayed and your emotional response doesn't come with a label attached.
