Top of the class in what interested you. Bottom in what didn't. Teachers said "attitude problem." Report cards said "if only they'd apply themselves." It wasn't attitude. It was architecture. Your brain invested everything in what lit up and left nothing for what didn't. They saw a choice. It was never a choice.
