I was online at 5 am to give this webinar about Digital Ethnography in a Changing World. Why? Because it allowed the opportunity to meet with people on the other side of the world! In the Qualitative Research Connect vision of the world we reach out to learn from and with each other. And it is this kind of meaningful human - human experience, mediated by technology, that inspires qualitative researchers to conduct studies online.

The online world is changing, with new and different risks we can’t ignore., That means we need to rethink how we select settings, technology tools, and methodological approaches. I could have discussed these issues for hours, but tried to offer some food for thought during the 40 minute presentation.
