The app for independent voices

99.9 percent of LinkedIn users do not know this about LinkedIn.

And it surprises people every time I mention it.

There is a hard limit on your network.

You can add only 30,000 first degree connections.

After that, your button switches to Follow and your reach changes.

There is no limit on followers.

Yet I keep hearing the same lines.

“I need to connect with everyone.”

“More connections means more opportunities.”

“If I hit the limit, it means I made it.”

It does not work that way.

A big network helps only if people actually engage.

If most of your connections ignore your posts, the algorithm will ignore you too.

Connections get access to more of your posts and you get access to more of theirs. LinkedIn treats the relationship as stronger.

Followers see only what the algorithm decides to show.

That is a big difference if you care about building real relationships.

Your network is not a race to a number.

Reach matters, numbers matter, but relevance wins every time.
