One of the stranger (and sadder) part of these latter days of the culture wars is the long-standing desire by some to tear down and trash Western Civilization. While none of those same people would admit that they desire barbarism instead, the problem is without commitment to maintaining a civilization’s guardrails, social entropy takes over and “things fall apart.”

Here is the latest and based-est from Everyman OG Caroline Furlong. Today she looks back at the Millennial sci-fi staple TV series Stargate SG-1 and how one of the show’s characters highlights a very different take on the civilization vs. barbarism debate. A position that matters today in a world of open borders and instant communication.
