Wealth distribution — Japan is only 24th per capita wealthiest country on average (left column), but rises to 10th on median (right column). If your math is a little rusty, remember the rule: use average when the numbers are balanced with no big outliers….use median when data is skewed and has extreme values….in the latest wealth data compiled by UBS, note the fall of the U.S. and Germany from average to medium vs the rise of Japan and Australia….and yes, any country in top 20 average, not in top 20 median has a problem…many cheers ;-j
